LOSSIRANTA TAVIS
Lossiranta Tavis is situated in the peaceful and tranquil Kalkkiuuninniemi neighborhood in old Savonlinna, close to Olavinlinna Fortress Castle. Spacious, bright rooms have been renovated sustainably, the building exterior being rendered by hand.
The original garden opens to views of Lake Saimaa and to Castle Olavinlinna. The surrounding gardens feature comfortable and inviting seating areas. Free parking is provided near to the hotel. The old garden outbuilding houses two rooms, one with a sauna, open seasonally during the summer.
In the 15th century the area of Kalkkuinniemi (Lime Kiln Penninsula) was used to source materials such as limestone to build Olavinlinna Fortress Castle. Here they burned limestone and there was a large lime kiln. The building resembes that of the house of Pippi Longstockings, Villa Villekulla, and was originally built as flats in 1915 to house 5 families. After renovations part of the house now forms our small boutique hotel.

The sauna is available for rent. Refresh yourself in the relaxing whirlpool bath or take a dip in Lake Saimaa via the small sandy cove a quick hop across the road.
A buffet breakfast is served in our cosy rustic kitchen Lettutupa. Weather permitting, breakfast can also be enjoyed in the garden.
The Lettutupa also doubles as a perfect and idyllic setting for private meetings as well as memorable small gatherings and parties.
